So you might get a file from somebody else on your team that needs to be compressed and you don't have access to the original timeline.Discover the purpose behind Adobe Media Encoder and how to use it to edit and/or create audio and video for your next project. And literally just send a timeline from those applications over to AME or you can use it as a standalone tool. You can use it integrated into your video editing workflow with Premiere Pro and After Effects. And the cool thing about AME is that there's actually two different ways that you can use it. That might mean a true transcode but it might mean a compression for things like the web or various devices. AME or Adobe Media Encoder is the Adobe ecosystem's tool for compressing files to various formats and file types. So whether you have a full Creative Cloud subscription or you're just using Premiere Pro you will have this tool on your system. A common tool that folks have access to is Adobe Media Encoder, or AME, and this is going to be useful to folks who use After Effects or Premiere Pro and it is part of those tools.
